Srinagarind Hospital 病院見学

2025年11月19日から20日にかけて、タイ・Khon Kaenに位置する Srinagarind Hospital を訪問し、外傷外科疾患の特徴、手術症例・件数、そして勤務体制について学ぶ機会を得ました。

 

日本とは異なり、ノーヘルメットで自動二輪車を運転する方が非常に多く、それに伴って重症頭部外傷が多い点が特に印象的でした。また、胸部・腹部外傷に対する手術症例も多く、外傷外科の臨床現場のダイナミズムを強く感じました。

 

同院では 外傷外科医4名で年間数千件の外傷診療 を行っており、その診療体制と情熱に深く感銘を受けました。

 

今回、外傷外科医である Phati Angkasith, MD をはじめ、多くの病院関係者の皆さまに温かく迎えていただき、大変充実した病院見学となりました。心より感謝申し上げます。

 

今後も、外傷外科症例のさらなる経験を積むことを目的に、留学を含めた継続的な交流を図っていきたいと考えております。

 

From November 19 to 20, 2025, We had the opportunity to visit Srinagarind Hospital in Khon Kaen, Thailand, where we learned about their trauma surgery practice, including the spectrum of injuries, surgical case volume, and work system.

 

Unlike in Japan, we observed that many individuals ride motorcycles without helmets, resulting in a high incidence of severe traumatic brain injuries. It was also striking to see the large number of thoracic and abdominal trauma cases requiring surgical intervention, which highlighted the dynamic nature of trauma care at the institution.

 

This hospital’s four trauma surgeons manage several thousand trauma cases annually, which left a strong impression on us and demonstrated their remarkable dedication and expertise.

 

We are sincerely grateful to Dr. Phati Angkasith, a trauma surgeon, and all the staff members who kindly supported my visit and allowed us to gain meaningful clinical insights.

 

Moving forward, we hope to continue building this relationship—including the possibility of a future training program—to further enhance my experience in trauma surgery.
